Rose water, also known as a hydrosol or a hydrolat, is a powerful substance that is often underestimated in its simplicity. It contains the terpenes geraniol, citronellol, nerol, and linalool which have soothing, purifying, and antioxidant effects on the skin. It's a go to for calming red skin as it creates an immediate cooling sensation. Rose water also contains polysaccharides that help maintain hyaluronic acid levels by targeting the enzyme that breaks it down as well as providing even more antioxidant power.
